Zara could not have been more perfect. She held my hand physically and emotionally throughout. Not just mine but my mum’s too. Her warm and caring nature was a great comfort to us all and nothing was too much trouble for her. She even made the effort to come back late and open the chapel for my Dad’s family who had arrived from Ireland the evening before the funeral. We had the most blessed time with him, something I will never forget as long as I live, and she encouraged me to participate with the family when I was unsure what to do. As I left the chapel that evening I felt a peace within my soul that enabled me to get through the next 24hours and beyond.
This level of care and attention to our emotional needs was beyond measure and I will be forever grateful.
