Recently we held a service of Remembrance at St James’ church Weybridge which gave our families from the Weybridge, Walton and Hersham area the opportunity to honour and remember their loved ones. Thank you to Reverend Louise Bishop who led the service with musical accompaniment by violinist Lisa Rollin. The evening was hosted by Director Robert Lodge and District Manager Dominic Kirby along with local arrangers Me...

Although VE day cannot be celebrated in style this year it shouldn’t stop us from raising a glass, or a cuppa, to thank all of our WW2 heroes.
This Friday 8th May the Nation toasts together at 3pm from the safety of everyone’s own homes. Whether you are driveway dining, garden gathering (with same household only) or simply saluting from a safe distance we thank you for joining in....

Jill Palmer, our Funeral Arranger at Windsor branch has written this heart-felt dedication to all our unsung heroes that work behind the scenes at Lodge Brothers, to let them know how much we respect them:
“This is a dedication to all the staff that work from the shadows. Our private ambulance team and all those who work tirelessly to ensure that everyone has their last time. These are the people that we entru...

Christmas can be the hardest time of year, a time where the absence of a loved one in our lives can be so much more pronounced. Lodge Brothers always marks this occasion with their Christmas “Remembrance” Trees in every branch. These trees are adorned with cards containing messages to those that are absent, but are never forgotten by their families and friends.
The Lodge Family difference is the bond we create w...

Each year, Lodge Brothers organise special Christmas Remembrance Services, where families who have sadly had to use our services, are invited to come and remember their loved ones. This year we had local harpist Rebeca Jones to set the mood during the service, and afterwards the St James’ Church Handbell Ringers played some carols, whilst the Lodge Brothers staff were on hand to serve mince pies and mulled wine. We...

All of Lodge Brothers branches are marking Remembrance Day this year with their own special window display. Well done to all of our funeral arrangers who have really outdone themselves again this year!
"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, We will remember them"...

On Saturday 7th September 2019, I will be cycling from Land’s End to John O’Groats - 9 days, 980 miles. Whilst I undertake this challenge I will be remembering our friend and colleague Ben, who tragically took his own life. I would like to raise money for CALM, the Campaign Against Living Miserably – a movement against suicide, the single biggest killer of men under the age of 45 in the UK.
