‘Time for a Cuppa’ Event Thursday 6th June at Datchet Branch for Dementia UK
Join us at our Datchet branch on Thursday 6th June 10am-2pm where we’ll be raising money for Dementia UK with our ‘Time for a Cuppa’ Event.
After a successful branch launch and a packed coffee morning, Hayley Griffiths, who joined the Lodge Brothers family of funeral directors in June 2023, has already raised funds and awareness for Macmillan Cancer Care. Working collaboratively with the local care facilities, council members, church ministers, celebrants and members of the community. The day was a great success and raised an important amount of money for the charity.
This year, they work together to raise money and awareness for Dementia UK with the help of Liz Berry from Home Instead and Cressida Harris from Lodge Brothers. This ‘Time for a Cuppa’ event is scheduled for Thursday, June 6th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Lodge Brothers in Datchet. This deserving charity will benefit from all sales made from cakes and hot beverages on the day.
‘What’s going on in Datchet’ goody bags will also be distributed to people who are unaware what’s going on in the area, who might have recently experienced a bereavement, or who simply want to meet new people, take up a new hobby, or spend time with someone new but don’t know what resources are available to them.
A Dementia ‘Summer’ poetry competition will also be open to anyone interested in participating. You can email all entries to datchet@lodgebrothers.co.uk or you can visit Hayley in person at the branch. Get your entries in before Friday, May 31st, to be eligible to win a prize.
We are excited to see you all that day.
