Lodge Brothers Sponsor Addlestone Scooterthon in Memory of The Late Ned O’Shea

On Sunday 30th June, in memory of the late Noel O’Shea, daughter Illona and wife Linda held a sponsored Scooterthon around Addlestone.
‘Ned’, as he was affectionally known, had previously arranged a Scooterthon some years ago raising a lot of money for charity, so his family thought it would be a fitting tribute to arrange one in his name.

Always one for a party, The Addlestone Gazette ran a large article on Ned back in October 2012, as he famously held his own wake prior to his death, as he did not want to miss out on the celebration!

Hundreds attended both the wake and his funeral, which is testament to his popularity.

Lodge Brothers, who conducted his funeral, sponsored the bright overalls for the recent Scooterthon. Over £1,000 was raised and all proceeds went to the Sam Beare Hospice, where Ned spent his final days.
