Lodge Brothers Plant ‘Seeds of Hope’ at St Faiths Church Brentford
At The Christmas Memorial Service at St Faiths Church in Brentford last December, the congregation were invited to write messages for their lost loved ones on special paper laced with plant seeds, in readiness for planting in the Church grounds this Spring.
Lodge Brothers District Manager Paul Bye and church incumbent Rev Derath Durkin can be seen here planting the messages of love & hope along the driveway leading to the church, and these will soon grow into a selection of wild flowers.
Paul Bye explained, “The planting of trees and flowers in memory of a lost loved one can be such a useful aide to the bereavement process, as it proves a tangible, visual representation of new life. I like the idea that our words of love are planted with the seed, and with the miracle of creation, a beautiful flower provides a visual sign that in our memories, our loved one can live on”.
St Faiths Church is located on Windmill Road in Brentford, and all are welcome to stop by and see the blooms in progress or attend one of the many services in church.
