Ken Ash of Lodge Brothers Addlestone Receives Mayor’s Certificate of Achievement

Ken Ash, Lodge Brothers’ Funeral Arranger in Addlestone, has been recognised by the local community and awarded the Mayor’s Certificate of Achievement.
What started as a hobby with his daughters in their younger years, turned into a commitment that has so far lasted twenty nine years organising Majorettes’ displays and competitions.
Ken is currently Chairman of the National Association of Great Britain and organises travel and accommodation for around 70 UK competitors and their families. The events are predominantly in Europe, where approximately 800 competitors take part.
In October, he is taking the team to Norway to compete in the European Championships.
Ken explains, “It is a commitment that I have thoroughly enjoyed over the years, and I’ve made many friends along the way. I think the airlines and hotels now know me when I contact them to book flights and accommodation for sometimes up to 150 people. I am so proud to have been recognised in this way and received this certificate for my services”.
