Founder of Ealing Riding School Gets Fitting Horse-Drawn Send-Off
Lodge Brothers and Wickenden of Northfields Avenue, Ealing were proud to have assisted the Ealing Riding School with a touching send-off for its proprietor Mr Geoff Edwards – and what better way to honour a man who worked with horses than with a horse drawn hearse.
Geoff founded the Ealing Riding School in 1985, and has been an integral part of the community ever since, teaching people of all ages and abilities to ride. He particularly enjoyed working with people with disabilities or deprived backgrounds. He was indeed a man of high integrity who always found time to talk to people.
When not at work Geoff and his partner of 30 years, Irene, enjoyed raising money for Cancer Research and often held fundraising events for this worthy cause.
After the funeral, Irene was so pleased with the care received from Lodge Brothers she sent a touching card to the branch arranger Kim McLaughlin:
“Thank you so much for arranging Geoff’s funeral. Such a beautiful, yet emotional service. One I will always remember in my thoughts. All of us thought this was one of the best funerals we have ever attended. Thanks again Kim. You’re an amazing lady. One in a million. Kindest
