Feltham District Christmas Service of Remembrance at St Lawrence’s Church
Lodge Brothers of Feltham, Bedfont, Hanworth and Hounslow, held their annual Service of Remembrance and Thanksgiving on Sunday 15th December.
A record congregation attended St. Lawrence’s Church in Feltham, where candles were lit in memory of lost loved ones during a very moving service, which was represented by all the religious faiths in the area. Music was provided by the Egham Town Band, and excellent vocal solos were sung by Caroline Edgington.
Dora Manning (Feltham arranger) Jackie Crew (Hounslow arranger) and Vanda Bloomfield (Bedfont) were on hand before, during and after the service, ensuring that those attending were served refreshments, including excellent mulled wine!
Quentin Edgington District Manager for the Feltham Area, said, “This service is always very much appreciated by the families attending and we know that at Christmas time people feel the loss of a loved one greatly. The service helps them deal with their bereavement.”
Mr. P said, “I attend this service every year and for me it is part of my Christmas.”
