Byfleet Christmas Carol Service of Remembrance

Lodge Brothers & Boutell Funeral Directors held their Annual Carol Service of Remembrance on Saturday 15th December at the Byfleet Village Hall and were delighted to welcome clients past and present, families from the Byfleet, West Byfleet and Cobham branches.

The service was for all faiths and was Led by Father Alex Hill, the event was specifically arranged for those who had suffered a bereavement in the last 3 years. The service was supported by the Herald Singers choir and Lisa Rollin a professional violinist. During the service the congregation were invited to sing traditional Christmas Carols and to light candles in memory of their departed loved ones.

All who attended were welcomed to stay on for mince pies and mulled wine served in the church afterwards, lots of people who attended commented on how lovely the service was and that they really appreciated the sentiment. A retiring collection was also arranged for Woking & Sam Beare Hospice and this raised £234.00.
