Burpham Branch Recounts Guildford’s VE Day Celebrations from 1945

Donna at Burpham Branch has filled her window display with images showing Guildford’s VE Day celebrations in 1945.
Although we cannot celebrate in style this year it shouldn’t stop us from raising a glass, or a cuppa, to thank all of our WW2 heroes.
This Friday 8th May the Nation toasts together at 3pm from the safety of everyone’s own homes. Whether you are driveway dining, garden gathering (with same household only) or simply saluting from a safe distance we thank you for joining in.
