A Plaque made by Lodge Bros marks the ‘Soul to the Street’ Scheme
March 16th, 2011
The Mayor of Elmbridge, Councillor Barry Cheyne, unveiled a commemorative plaque in Walton High Street on Wednesday 16th March to celebrate the completion of the ‘Soul to the Street’ project.
The plaque, made by Local Funeral Directors and Memorial Stonemasons, Lodge Brothers, is mounted into the pavement and according to Chris Lodge, who manages the stone masonry division at Lodge Brothers has been made to withstand the thousands, if not millions, of pairs of shoppers’ feet that will, over the years, walk over it. ‘Its great to have been able to contribute to this fabulous project that will make Walton a more attractive destination for shoppers and residents alike”
