80th Anniversary of D-Day

District manager Sheila Kane, along with celebrant Sue Harding, had the honour of carrying out two services this week to commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day. The services, which involved the lighting of lanterns, took place at Care UK’s homes, Franklin House and The Burroughs, both in West Drayton.

Residents of the homes, many of whom would have lived through this poignant period, along with, staff and guests, paid tribute to the thousands of people who gave their lives to enable us to enjoy the freedoms we have today.
