Hot Sausage Rolls for a Freezing Cold Crowd at ‘Magical Molesey’
Funeral Arrangers Pat Moller and Carol Disspain of Lodge Brothers Funeral Directors in East Molesey, were rushed off their feet at the recent ‘Magical Molesey’ event, raising money for charity by selling hot sausage rolls to the freezing cold crowd.
The annual event, which features the switching on of the Christmas Tree lights by Santa, Carol singing by the local schools’ choirs, competitions, raffles and street market, brought a huge crowd to the High Street.
Many of the shops participated, selling snacks, drinks, handmade cakes and gifts to the generous public, with all proceeds going to charity.
Pat remarked, “It really was a magical evening, proving that Molesey still has good old-fashioned community spirit! It was great to see so many families enjoying the event and soaking up the atmosphere. And of course we were thrilled that the very cold weather brought more people to our Hot Sausage Roll stall, enabling us to donate over £50 to each of our charities Help for Heroes and Friends of Molesey Library.”
